Step 1 – The First Call

Your remodeling journey starts with a friendly call to our Lake Forest office. Our Office Manager will answer your initial questions and connect you with one of our design consultants. We’ll talk about your remodeling goals, discuss whether we’re the right fit, and schedule a free in-home consultation to get started.

Step 2 – In-Home Consultation

One of our experienced designers will visit your home to learn about your needs and style. We’ll take measurements, review photos, and discuss your space, layout, budget, and design ideas. Whether you’re remodeling a kitchen, updating a bathroom, or replacing flooring, this meeting sets the foundation for a successful project.

Step 3 – Showroom Visit in Lake Forest

Next, you’ll visit our ApexKBF showroom in Lake Forest, where you can explore our wide range of kitchen cabinets, countertops, tiles, flooring, and bath fixtures. You’ll sit down with our design team to view 3D renderings of your space and start selecting materials that match your vision.

Step 4 – Estimate Review & Design Deposit

Within a week of your showroom visit, we’ll prepare a detailed project estimate. This early quote is typically within 10% of the final cost. Once you’re ready to move forward, you’ll sign the design agreement and place a design deposit to reserve your project with ApexKBF.

Step 5 – Pre-Construction Planning

Before construction begins, we’ll revisit your home to confirm measurements, finalize details, and go over logistics. This meeting ensures that every aspect of your kitchen, bath, or flooring remodel is accurate and aligned with your expectations.

Step 6 – Final Selections

We’ll work with you in our showroom to finalize all material choices — cabinets, countertops, tiles, flooring, plumbing fixtures, and finishes. Once everything is approved, your project agreement and timeline are finalized.

Step 7 – Permits & Approvals

Our team handles all the paperwork and submits your project plans for city approval. Once permits are issued, we’ll call you to schedule the official start date for construction.

Step 8 – Pre-Job Walkthrough

Before work begins, our Project Manager will meet with you and introduce the on-site team. We’ll review the construction plan and confirm the daily schedule to make sure everything is clear and comfortable for you.

Step 9 – Construction Begins

We prepare your home for construction by sealing off the work area to maintain cleanliness and safety. Our team treats your home with respect — sweeping, vacuuming, and organizing tools at the end of each day. You’ll stay in touch with your on-site lead throughout the project.

Step 10 – Progress Check-Ins

During construction, your Project Manager will check in regularly to make sure everything is on track and that you’re completely satisfied with the progress.

Step 11 – Ongoing Communication

Communication is key to a successful remodel. We’ll schedule meetings or phone calls as needed to keep you updated and answer any questions about materials, timing, or finishes.

Step 12 – Walkthrough & Punch List

As your remodel nears completion, we’ll walk through your new space together to identify any final adjustments or touch-ups. Our goal is to deliver a flawless kitchen, bathroom, or flooring installation that you’ll love for years to come.

Step 13 – Final Inspections

Once your project passes all final inspections, we’ll ensure that every detail meets our high standards of craftsmanship and quality.

Step 14 – Project Completion & Closing Meeting

Your Project Manager will conduct a final walkthrough with you to confirm that everything meets your expectations. We’ll review your finished space, answer any remaining questions, and officially close your project.

Step 15 – Warranties & Care Package

To wrap up, you’ll receive the ApexKBF Care Package, which includes warranty details, care instructions, and tips for maintaining your new kitchen, bathroom, or flooring.
